The bungalows of Charco Natural are part of Charco del Palo, a quiet naturist village near Mala on the Northeast coast of Lanza­rote and far from the mass tourism. It is an open naturist zone on the Atlantic Ocean, were everyone can walk around the way he/she likes. There are no clothing regulations, except for shops and restaurants, and the member­ship of a naturist associ­ation is not required.

Charco del Palo has several holiday apartment complexes, but the greatest part consists of private, roomy residences and bunga­lows. Many Germans form the regular inhabi­tants, but there also live people of the Canaries, Spain, Austria and Switzerland.

  Shops, Restaurants and More

A small CFentro Comercial (shopping centre) with a supermarket, car hire, massage practice, hairdresser and boutique are easily be reached by foot. The supermarket also is open in the morning on Saturday and Sunday (2007). There are more shopping possibilities in Guatiza (at 4 km) and in the fishing village Arrieta (at 6 km). In Charco del Palo you have the choice between four bars / restaurants. Regularly they organize grill parties and life music evenings. And, anyone who prefers more enter­tainment in the evenings may visit the tourist resort Costa Teguise (at 12 km). In the shops and restau­rants of Charco del Palo they under­stand English.

  Walking, Swimming and Diving

Volcanic cliffs with footpaths and many small beaches form the coast. A natural pool and a beautiful bay make swimming very attractive. Diving and snorkel fans will meet here excellent conditions. The area is not very suitable for bad walkers.
